A Year in the Life of Denton
Throughout 2011 a lady with a camera could be observed taking pictures at almost every village event. This was Lisa North who was undertaking a major project to record the village year as part of a photography course.
The project culminated in an exhibition of her photographs held at the Village Hall on Saturday 28th January 2012. It was a great success with a big turn-out by residents to see the results of Lisa's labours.
The pictures were outstanding and provided a wonderful record of the year just gone. Individual photographs and a delightful book containing all of those on disply were purchased in large numbers.
Proceeds from the sale of the photographs, refreshments and a raffle, totalling nearly £800 were split between the Air Ambulance, Village Hall, and Church funds.
