Compost Shut Down
2016 saw the sad closure, hopefully only on a temporary basis, of Denton's Community Composting Scheme.
The ground-breaking scheme, the first in Norfolk, had been running very successfully since 2003 but a change of ownership of the scheme site forced its closure.
Various alternative sites were considered, including next to the allotments, but none proved satisfactory. It is still hoped that the scheme will be re-started when a suitablke site is found.
