Sidney George Rose Died 27th July 1998

The death occurred on Monday 27th July of Sidney Rose - known to all his friends as Sid!Sid was born in Bungay, but moved to Alburgh and lived there for thirty-four years, before moving with Daphne and family to Denton for another thirty-four years. He worked for Messrs Carters before setting up his own business, and had been in the building trade for over forty years. He was a master bricklayer, and his legacy of decorative brickwork, from fireplaces to garden arches, is around for all to see. No job was too much trouble, and all was well done.
He loved his two greyhounds, and regularly walked them three miles every day. Four years ago, ill health forced him to retire, and last year he and Daphne moved to Harleston where he contented himself with making garden furniture.
Our thoughts are with Daphne and her family at this sad time.
