Land's End to John o' Groats Fastpack Challenge

From Friday 4th of May Simon Spaul is attempting to Fastpack from Land's End to John o' Groats to raise money and awareness for two charities Nelson's Journey and Elizabeth's Legacy of Hope.

Both do incredible work, Nelson's Journey supports bereaved children who have lost close family members and Elizabeth's Legacy of Hope supports amputee children internationally, providing prosthetics but more importantly perhaps education and efforts to reduce stigma in the societies where they live.

Simon commented:
"I am going to be fastpacking around 40 miles a day and this will be largely running off-road taking in some of the most beautiful and challenging parts of the UK.
In part I am attempting this because I love a challenge but mainly because I lost my Dad in an accident when I was 15. At that time Nelson's journey wasn't around but I would love to be able to offer some support to children finding themselves in a similar situation.
I now have children myself and love watching as they race round the garden or ride their bikes I feel I want to help others who find this more tricky. This challenge seems like the best way I can do that.
